Who We Are
Ortonville Community Education exists to facilitate the learning and participation of adults and children so they can improve their lives and our community. We provide opportunities for local citizens, schools, agencies and institutions to become active partners in addressing education and community concerns. Community Education brings community members together to identify and link community needs and resources in a manner that helps people to help themselves and to raise the quality of life in our community.
Featured Class - Free Certified Nursing Assistant

Earn three college credits from Minnesota West Community & Technical College and your CNA Certificate during a 6 week class that will begin March 1, 2010, in Ortonville, Minnesota. The class is free to eligible applicants with funding from the FastTRAC Stimulus Grant. Featured Class - Mosaic "Stained Glass & Wire" Butterfly

Come and learn a few stained glass basics. This class will teach how to cut glass, the foiling method, how to solder, to use patinas and to add wire to your project. For this project you will use copper wire, scrap glass and glass nuggets. you will choose your own color pallet from the glass I bring. Please bring safety glasses and piece of plywood at least 12x12" and a glass cutter. All other supplies will be included. Will take home your finished project (3 classes to complete). Please call Barb with questions - extra tools will help, but not necessary! Limited to 7 participants.
